These are features on the roadmap (PLAN.md) that are not
in this build. A user might look for them; they are listed here so their absence
is clear. Each is one line.
- Vertical / portrait video — the Portrait canvas toggle is present but disabled; outputs are landscape only for now (plan O9.4).
- Stinger transitions — Cut, Crossfade, Fade through black, Appear/Disappear, Slide, Push, Wipe and Zoom are here (see Transitions); stingers (a video file with alpha) are not yet (plan S8.2).
- Hotkeys for one scene or one mixer strip — hotkeys (see Control surfaces) cover the same actions as MIDI: outputs, scene stepping and Studio mode. “Switch to scene X”, “Mute strip Y” and push-to-talk are not available yet.
- Elgato’s own OBS Stream Deck plugin — Stream Decks work through the obs-websocket plugins (Multi OBS Controller, OBS Tools), see Remote control; Elgato’s “OBS Studio” plugin needs a plugin inside OBS and does not connect. Bitfocus Companion needs the MessagePack protocol, which is not supported yet.
- Web overlays on Windows and Linux — browser/URL overlay layers need the web engine, which is macOS-only in this build (see Web overlays).
- Sending a chosen source over Syphon / Spout / NDI — the app can publish its program canvas over Syphon (macOS), Spout (Windows) and NDI from the Outputs panel (see Outputs ▸ Senders), and receive Syphon, Spout and NDI as sources (see Sources); publishing a single chosen source (rather than the whole canvas) is not wired up yet (plans X7.3 / X7.5).
- Virtual camera on Windows 10 — the virtual camera needs Windows 11 (build
22000 or later); macOS, Linux and Windows 11 have it (see Outputs).
On Linux it needs the
v4l2loopbackkernel module, which the app does not install or load itself: the Virtual camera row gives the commands. - Webcams and capture cards on Windows and Linux — camera and capture-card capture is macOS-only for now (plan V4.5).
- SRT and HDR/HLS ingest — SRT output and YouTube HLS ingest for HEVC HDR are not scheduled in this build (plan S3.10).
